Welcome to Dr. Alvaro Muñoz Castro Lab, at Universidad San Sebastián (www.uss.cl).
Our research underlies electronic structure and related molecular properties for organic, inorganic, and organometallic systems, employing theoretical methods. We focus on several molecular properties such as bonding nature, optical, luminescence, and magnetic response, among others, including synthetic procedure. 

We are currently engaged in Superatoms, Ligand-Protected Clusters,  Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons, Fullerenes, Endohedral structures, Long-ranged magnetic behavior, Aromaticity, Host-Guest systems, Metal-Ligand interactions, among other fields.
